How do I find out about activities?
At Snohomish Health and Rehabilitation we believe activities and events enrich our residents lives. We work to create an uplifting, engaging environment where our residents can enjoy social interaction and mental engagement. To view this month’s activity calendar click here.
How is the laundry done?
Our facility has a personal laundry service. All personal clothing is washed in an industrial washing machine at a temperature of 180 degrees. Please make sure all clothing is appropriate for washing and drying in these hot temperatures and avoid bringing clothing that requires special care. All items of clothing must be clearly labeled with the resident’s name.
Can family members take laundry home?
Yes, if a family member would like to do the resident’s laundry, please notify the nursing station of your plans. If a family member is going to do the resident’s laundry we request that a hamper is provided and laundry is picked up twice a week.
Is there any private space available to use?
Yes, residents may reserve the activities lounge for special events, with notice.
Can pets be brought into the facility?
We would love for your family pet to come visit. Visiting pets must be kept on a leash at all times, be up to date on vaccinations, and be cleaned up after.
How often will a physician or health professional visit?
Physicians generally see residents upon admission and once every 30 days thereafter. Though the physicians aren’t there every day, our nursing staff is in constant communication with each physician that visits the facility.
Can I take my loved one home for a visit?
Residents may take a leave of absence with a physician’s authorization, which can be arranges through the nursing staff. Residents who take a leave of absence must check in and out with the leave of absence (LOA) book at the nursing station.
Can my loved one receive mail?
Mail is delivered to residents personally on a daily basis, except for weekends and holidays.

Is smoking permitted in the facility?
For the health and safety of our residents and staff, smoking is not permitted in our facility. Please inquire at the front desk for designated, outdoor smoking areas.
Can I bring outside food in?
Please make sure to check with the nursing staff before bringing food in to insure the food complies with special diets. Any food kept in resident rooms must be in a properly sealed container.
Is there someone who provides haircuts?
Yes, we have beauticians available for both women’s and men’s haircuts.
Are there televisions in every room?
If your room does not come with a television and you would like to bring your television from home, please consult with our maintenance director to ensure all fire codes are upheld.
Who do I talk to about food preferences? Are there alternate options to each day’s menu?
All residents are interviewed by out registered dietitian upon admission to discuss food preferences and special dietary needs. Special care is taken to serve flavorful and appetizing foods and all menus are developed according to prescribed medical diets ordered by the physicians.
Should you wish for an alternative food item on a particular day’s menu, please make the CNA aware of your request. Your request will then be passed to the food service director and they will attempt to accommodate your needs.
Who do I speak with about financials, billing, and admission paperwork?
At Snohomish Health and Rehabilitation, we have a full-time business office manger for all financial and billing concerns. If you have any questions regarding these matters please make an appointment with our business office manager through the front desk.
